The Texas Animal Control Association is currently looking for speakers to teach at the 50th Annual Training conference November 18-20, 2024, in San Antonio. We are looking for people who would like to detail successful programs and/or provide training on topics that affect all of us in the animal welfare field. We are particularly interested in new and exciting ideas that will directly benefit the day to day operations of the shelters and programs that our attendees represent.
If you or someone in your organization would like to present an idea that you think would make a great class, please submit it and a brief speaker’s bio no later than March 10, 2024. If you have an idea for something that you think would benefit the attendees, but don’t necessarily want to teach it yourself, send your idea and we’ll work on finding a qualified instructor for that topic. Class ideas do not have to necessarily be animal-related as any course that helps Animal Control Officers and animal welfare personnel communicate more efficiently, provide better customer service, or otherwise perform their duties at a higher level will be considered.
Please feel free to forward this to anyone who may have an interest in speaking. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I appreciate all of your help in making TACA’s annual conference a success.
Thank you,
Jamey Cantrell
President
